Project

Residence for old people founded by the religious congregation of Mother Teresa of Calcutta and subsidized by the State. Various sisters of the congregation go every morning to help assist the old people, the cleaning and the day to day activities of the residence. They are the ones who guide the volunteers on the tasks needed.

The old people in the residence have either no family or they simply cannot look after them. Some are simply old and others have illnesses to whom they can hardly get treatment.

​

Objective

The main objective is to maintain the residence clean in order to avoid any source of infection, help de sisters handle the different activities needed and taking care and accompany the old people who are lonely most of the day.

​

Your role

• Cleaning the residence (common areas, beds, sheets, clothes, etc)

• Helping making the food

• Feed the old people

• Give conversation to the old people

• Helping them have a decent old age.

 

Location

It is located in Bode, in the center of Bhaktapur.

Schedule

Early in the mornings.

​

Dates

You can participate any time of the year.

​

Minimum period 

2 weeks onwards.
